I'm a civil engineer. Or more precisely a structural engineer. I work with various people across Europe to create designs of various structures across the world.
In parallel I do programming. It started out on Atari XL/XE demoscene, years ago. Time passed, technology changed, but the passion remained. And it grew.
Currently I'm trying my hand at writing. I'm leaning more towards Digital Gardening than traditional blogging, but we'll see how it goes. A mixture of concrete and code seems to be an interesting topic to start with. Maybe. These days civil engineering quite often means applying BIM workflows using tools like Tekla Structures or Revit. And guess what? It turns out that programmer's mindset (nice read here), happens to be really beneficial in all of that. I have developed several solutions, that I could share. Sample here:
Publishing is so easy right now. Many platforms just wait for our content and it may be hard to choose a way. What I found interesting recently is publishing on ATProto. Many promising apps based on this protocol appears here and there. One of them is Leaflet.pub which I use to write this text. Time will tell what will come of it.
That's it. I needed content to try things out, and here it is. A short introduction.
Few things still left to do:
setup custom domain
tweak visuals
background - probably none
colors - old habits won (Solarized)
logo - fragment of fresh green water droplets picture
